This carnival was fairly successful. Started slow for the first hour, then picked up with a number of really decent sales that made me really happy. Received several compliments on my designs which is always nice

Nearly all the range that was displayed were new items, made in the last few months. I’ve cleared almost all my old stock by now, with a few exceptions that I’m hoping will go soon! The hot ticket item was the bracelets – I brought 16, and left with less than half that. I do tend to sell more at such events than online, but unfortunately can’t eke out the time to do this on a regular basis. I know I’m fortunate in the sense that I don’t need to worry so much about making sales as it’s not my livelihood (yet!), unlike a lot of other sellers I’ve met where this is their sole income. Then again I don’t think I would be very happy if I were doing this full time, because I’d eventually get bored. Teaching and making jewellery somehow balances each other out, but like I was telling Sue from Kathmandu Designs, teaching will always come first for me.
Anyway, enough chatter. Here are some of the photos from the carnival. As usual, no photo of me (camera shy). The photos aren’t very good due to the lighting, but you kinda get the idea.

The space provided was fairly large – gave me the indulgence of spreading my jewellery out neatly and being able to display lots of stuff!

Pretty things all in rows!
